AMR Asia Welcomes Rail Technology Research Agency to Showcase Leadership in Thailand’s Rail Engineering Sector
AMR Asia Public Company Limited (AMR), a leading turnkey System Integrator (SI) and a key partner in large-scale infrastructure projects for the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), recently hosted a delegation from the Rail Technology Research and Development Agency (Public Organization) or RTRDA, along with a team of engineers from Blue Engineering S.r.l., Italy.
The visit aimed to showcase AMR’s operational excellence and comprehensive engineering capabilities. During the session, AMR presented its system engineering achievements and its significant contributions to national rail projects, reinforcing its position as a major player behind Thailand’s transportation infrastructure. The delegation was officially welcomed by Mr. Pathomruek Sentong, Business Development Director of AMR Asia Public Company Limited.
The RTRDA has appointed Blue Engineering S.r.l. as the consultant for a project focused on engineering design, technical specifications, and the development of train manufacturing processes certified to European standards. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Transport's policy to strengthen and modernize Thailand’s domestic rail manufacturing industry.
The project is currently in its initial phase, which focuses on evaluating the supply chain and assessing the potential of domestic operators. The meeting and site visit took place at the AMR Asia Public Company Limited headquarters in Chatuchak, Bangkok.
