AMR, through its subsidiary Eco Phoenix, presents MRF technology as a sustainable solution for national waste management

19 September 2025

The issue of urban waste overflow constitutes a critical problem that directly affects municipalities and local administrative organizations across the nation. The effective management of existing waste to ensure both a reduction in volume and the minimization of pollution presents a substantial challenge for the key stakeholders responsible for addressing this matter. Eco Phoenix Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of AMR Asia Public Company Limited (AMR), recognized the significance and necessity of this challenge. Consequently, it participated in the academic conference and seminar hosted by the Association of Thai Municipalities on September 18–19. The purpose of this engagement was to propose modern and sustainable solutions in the field of waste management.

During this seminar, ECO Phoenix introduced MRF (Material Recovery Facility) technology, known as the smart waste sorting plant. This technology is instrumental in shifting the traditional paradigm of waste management. It is designed not only to achieve a reduction of over 95% in the volume of waste requiring landfill disposal but also to generate added value for communities by converting waste into beneficial resources, such as RDF2 and RDF3 fuels, recycled plastics, organic fertilizer, and pyrolysis oil.

The presentation of this technology underscores the commitment of AMR and ECO Phoenix to act as a supportive partner to the Association of Thai Municipalities. Their shared goal is to collaboratively establish a sustainable and efficient waste management model for Thailand, thereby driving communities toward a cleaner and more habitable future for all citizens.
