AMR Asia Public Company Limited (AMR) was founded on 13 September 1999 with a registered capital of 1 Million Baht, as a system integrator (SI) in designing, installing, and integrating a wide range of technology systems for IT solutions, large-scale communication systems, intelligent remote-control systems, and power systems. AMR is owned by a group of engineers with more than 20 years of experience in information and communications technology.

Under the vision of the management team Led by Mr. Natthachai Siriko, Director and Chief Executive Officer who believe that emerging technology is what will determine life in the future, resulting in the company and continuously growing due to technological advancements that has been trusted by government and the private sector from many industries, which want to change their data management business models or the form of service entering the digital age. The first project of the company was to set up a computer network system for Suan Dusit University. This is considered the first step towards other projects, such as setting up a data search system and linking Thai law to the Council of State Office, Installation and service of automatic TOU (Time of Use Rate) electricity meters for the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, Water level measurement system work equipment for water management for the Royal Irrigation Department which is the largest water management system in Thailand and a free tax zone management system, Air Cargo, Suvarnabhumi Airport.

In 2005, the Company found out an opportunity in the transformation of transportation system technology to support the expansion of the country's infrastructure, which is considered the key to economic development. Therefore, it began to expand its income base to the Railway Engineering System industry. In the beginning, the Company was an SI for a world-class manufacturer of rail and aircraft technology by bringing operating system and signaling system solutions for use with the transportation system in Thailand, both diesel trains and electric train systems. In the project to install signaling systems, a backbone network system, for the State Railway of Thailand (SRT).

In 2006, the Company installed a communications network and electrical system for a total of 27 Green Line stations and changed the signaling systems in 24 trains.

In 2015, the Company signed a contract to design, procure and installed the Electrical and Mechanical System (E&M) for electric train system of Green Line Southern Extension Project from Bearing Station to Kheha Station, a total of 9 stations, the Northern Line from Mo Chit Station to Khu Khot Station, a total of 16 stations, and a system of 2 depot facilities, operating under a joint venture.

In 2016, it was considered an important success for the company, as the company signed a contract to design, procure, and install electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems which was a Turnkey Project for the Gold Line. from Krung Thonburi Station to Khlong San Station, Phase 1, which is the first time in Thailand that a Thai company designs, installs, and manages the entire electric train system. Golden Line is considered a secondary mass transit system (Feeder Line) using a pilot project that uses the Automatic People Mover (APM) system similar to those used in leading airports around the world, the first line in Thailand.
