TERBIUM System Description ;

TERBIUM SYSTEM is one of the most advanced real time, interactive telemetry system that eliminates the need for on-site management such consumer readings or power cut-off and cut-on by any Utility personnel and provides a host of additional functions and information that enable Utility planning, monitoring, management and control the whole things with a finger.

TERBIUM SYSTEM is extremely cost effective, taking advantage of the existing Utility infrastructure. The system uses standard watt-hour meters to be retrofitted with so that existing mechanical or pulse electronic meters do not require replacement. It also utilizes the existing utility power line for real time data communication called Power line Communication between Terbium-RU (Remote Unit) at consumer sites and a local data gathering, processing and control unit which we call Terbium-CU (Concentrator). All information is delivered to Terbium-MC (Master Control Center) for monitoring, management, analyzing, investigation or transferring to other systems such billing system or database management system or extra operation & maintenance system. Utility is able to set criteria, rules or policies for each situation and after automatic analyzing; the system will be handled with proper manners by intelligent system management.

TERBIUM SYSTEM has been designed in a single isolated unit solid-state type with industrial grade quality for outdoor mounting which do not require any additional protection such as cabinets, boxed rain sheds or sun shielding. It is surely suitable for use in tropical climatic area and is proved that’s able to operate successfully in the stiff service conditions, high humidity, severe surge & harsh lighting as in South East Asia.



TERBIUM SYSTEM provides 3 alternatives for each specific requirement of Automatic Meter Reading System as:

- Model 1.X KWh (Energy) Feature
- Model 2.X TOU (Time of Used) Feature
- Model 3.X Load Profile Feature
All of them guarantees the accuracy of the readings and enables the data to be sent over longer distances via the power lines with complete concern of security.

1. Characteristic of Terbium System

1.1. Terbium System with KWh has the following outstanding characteristics:

  • Provide essential information to the Utilities :
    • Accumulated energy
    • History daily power consume load profile
    • Billing data and one month backup billing data
    • Maintenances reports such as reverse disc revolution, power outage, tampering or suspect fraudulent usage or system status
  • Remotely programmable all necessary parameter
  • Non-volatile memory to secure data loss while power is off
  • High precision real time clock with Lithium battery back-up or Super capacitor back-up
  • Real two-way communication with Power Line Carrier Technology and repeat function to
  • retransmit detected data signals from other units at the maximum permissible amplitude effectively ensures data availability, irrespective of the distance between the transmission origination and destination, and data reliability with an extensive error correction algorithm.

1.2. Terbium System with TOU Feature has the following outstanding characteristics:

Provide essential information to the Utilities :

    • Accumulate of On-Peak and Off-Peak energy
    • On-Peak and Off-Peak energy maximum demand average at 15 minutes interval and shall be reset automatically at each billing date.
    • History daily power consume load profile separate in On-Peak period and Off-Peak period of 7 days
    • Billing data and one month backup billing data
    • Maintenances reports such as reverse disc revolution , power outage, tampering or suspect fraudulent usage or system status
  • Remotely programmable all necessary parameter
  • High precision real time clock with Lithium battery back-up or Super capacitor back-up
